What is Reely?
Reely is a daily movie connection puzzle. Each day you get two actors and try to connect them with the shortest valid path of actors and movies.
Does everyone get the same puzzle?
Yes. The daily puzzle is the same for everyone, which is why the leaderboard and score comparisons are meaningful.
How often does it update?
A new daily matchup replaces the old one every day. Past puzzles stay available in the archives.
Can I play on web and mobile?
Yes. Reely works on the web today, and the app is designed to be the best way to keep up with the daily loop over time.
Do hints solve the puzzle for me?
No. Hints only reveal limited information and always raise your score, so the best runs still come from finding the path yourself.
What makes a good score?
Lower is better. Shorter paths, fewer guesses, and fewer hints all improve your result.
How is my score calculated?
Your score is the number of links in your final path, plus one point for every submitted guess after the first, plus any hint penalties. Building and editing your path before you submit is free, so only submitted attempts affect your score.
What is a link?
A link is one step between two adjacent items in your path. A path with three movies between the two actors has four links. Matching the puzzle's optimal link count is the best possible result.
Can I replay past puzzles?
Yes. The archive holds every past daily puzzle, and each closed puzzle also has an answer recap showing the shortest known connection. Replaying does not change your original daily result, so it is a safe way to practice.
Do I need an account to play?
No. You can start playing immediately, and your progress is saved to an anonymous profile. Linking an account lets your streak, leaderboard identity, and any premium access follow you across devices.
How do I get better at Reely?
Start your path from the more prolific actor, lean on big ensemble casts as bridges, and work inward from both actors at once. The strategy guide walks through these tactics in detail.
